Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, will be the star awardee in this year’s Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists, NACJ, Integrity Awards, scheduledfor Saturday, May 26, 2018.
According to the organisers, the first lady drew attention worldwide when she criticised her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, in an interview with BBC, saying she feared his administration was veering off its mandate to the people.
With the theme,”Integrity is everything,” the event, scheduled for Saturday, May 26, is to emphasize the impact integrity could have in a given society like ours.
This year awardees include Silas Agara, a politician, sports enthusiast, and current Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State; Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State. Prince Eze Madumere, Deputy Governor of Imo State; Gov Aminu Masari of Katsina State; Governor Nyeson Wike of Rivers State, and Dr Samson Ogah,Chairman, Master Energy.
Others are, Justice Opeyemi Oke, Chief Judge of Lagos State; Deacon James Nosa, Chief Executive Officer, Incentive Media; Pastor Paul Adefarasin, General Overseer, House on the Rock, Dr Alex Otti, former Managing Director of Diamond Bank among others.
